As part of the 160-acre Buchanan Educational Center, Alta Sierra Intermediate School occupies the northwest corner of the complex. To provide watchful eyes, the school is divided into four administrative centers which are located for easy access, supervision, and control. The centralized amphitheater and student commons serve as a gathering place for the entire student body. Student lockers, restrooms, and other student gathering areas are located around the commons and can easily be supervised by one of the four administrative centers.
