Private Residence
Bass Lake, CA  -  1995

The original cabin was built in the 1940's on a narrow lot with rare lake frontage. Plumbing, electrical and structural deficiencies dictated major reconstruction of the existing structure. Additionally, the owner decided to upgrade and add on to the existing cabin. The concept for the design of this project is rooted in the icons of the cabins and structures of the surrounding area. Materials include local natural granite scraps, natural and painted woods, and corrugated galvanized metal siding with stainless steel flashings, gutters and trim. Consistent with the metamorphic nature of cabins, each phase of the project has a visual separateness identifiable in the overall composition of the completed project.
