Clovis Unified School District
Clovis, CA  -  2008

The Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall and the Dan Pessano Black Box Theater are located at the new Clovis North Education Center (an intermediate and high school on one site). The facilities have been constructed to fulfill the Clovis Unified School District’s vision of providing outstanding facilities for Music, Drama and Musical theater for all performance groups within the District. The Concert Hall, which was designed primarily as a music performance venue, features 750 fixed seats and has been designed in the classic “shoebox” music hall configuration. Within the same building a Black Box theater has been designed. This space was designed to support dramatic performances that will feature the spoken word. The space is capable of seating between 150 and 250 depending on the seating configuration. The patrons of the theaters enter through a large glass entrance into a shared lobby.
