Clovis Unified School District
Clovis, CA  -  1994
The school occupies the more isolated and protected southwest corner of the Buchanan Educational Center. The school is clustered around a small courtyard which allows for easy visual administration of the campus. For the comfort of the younger students the scale of the campus is smaller than that of the other two schools in the complex. Planning included such considerations as academic units oriented around the amphitheater for a central focus of the campus, administration located for ready access from visitor parking facilities, and a media center next to administration to share facilities between staff and made accessible to the public for use at night or on weekends.
